Welcome to Mrs. Gray's NewsPage!
Welcome Parents! I'm excited about this new teacher webpage! I think it will be an additional way for us to communicate and stay in touch. Please visit it weekly, as there will be some changes.
Allow me to tell you a little about myself. I graduated from Memphis State (University of Memphis) in 1989 with a Bachelor Degree in Education. I substituted for a few months and then was placed at Westside Elementary as a kindergarten teacher. It was there that I learned teaching kindergarten was not for me! The next year, I found myself at Kingsbury Elementary where I taught 2nd and 3rd grade for fifteen years. During that time I received a Master's Degree in General Education and an Education Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Supervision.I then took two years off and stayed home with my children, Elaina and David, now nine and six years old. Four years ago, I went back to work and ended up at Shelby Oaks Elementary where I am now a second and third grade looping teacher. This is where I teach the same children for the 2nd and 3rd grade classes. I love teaching, and I hope I'll be able to teach for many years to come!
